Fairfield Dining
Artisan
Growing up in the countryside west of Paris, Executive Chef Frederic Kieffer influences all of the restaurants in the Greenwich Hospitality Group properties and is personally quite passionate about Artisan at the Delamar Southport. Focusing on farm-to-table American classics with a nod to New England, the menu focuses on sustainable seafood-focused dishes it undeniably one of the prettiest outdoor eateries. With multiple private dining rooms, our favorite being the Copper Room, there are beautiful bespoke options for various celebratory occasions. From tea service to an afternoon lunch, brunch to dinner Al fresco, Artisan assuredly is one of our favorites. Plus the new spa at the property makes for the perfect day.

Barcelona Wine Bar
There is something undeniably memorable about this spot, the moody, dark-hued décor evokes an evening in Barcelona. Their tapas menu uses seasonal picks from local markets alongside specialties from Spain and the Mediterranean. With five locations in Connecticut, it’s the one in Fairfield we frequent most often. From charcuterie and cheese to a prolific tapas selection, which is the mainstay of the menu featuring over 30 items, through to the large plates namely paella the flavors are quintessentially Spanish. We also love this spot for private events.

Blackstones Steakhouse
Our family loves a classic steakhouse from growing up going to Peter Luger’s and Ben Benson’s and consistently going to The Palm in East Hampton when we moved to Westport in 2020 we had to find our go-to spot! With four locations in Connecticut their raw bar sets the stage for a classic steakhouse experience. But it’s their dry-aged steaks and their Supreme Burgers that are what they are rightfully known for. For a lighter lunch we adore the Maine Lobster Salad, the Blackstones Salad with Grilled Jumbo Shrimp and the Greek Salad with Black Angus NY Strip.

Esh
Inspired by the Med and countries such as Israel, Lebanon, Turkey, Greece and Morocco we fell in love with Esch the moment it opened from the Christian P Arkay-Leliever deign to the menu is a true fusion of flavors! Drawing inspiration, using aromatic flavors, pulling inspo from the Agean leads to a menu that arcs so beautifully from meze spreads, to their oft-instagrammed Taboon Flatbreads, through to our two favorite dishes the Esh Skirt Steak with Roasted cipollini onion, charred tomato, grilled potato, oregano chimichurri and the free range chicken "Maschan" with French cut, la boite, truffle salt & pepper cauliflower crust, sumac onion currants & chicken rosemary reduction. Given the grand scale of spaces in Fairfield as opposed to some of the smaller spots in Fairfield County towns like New Canaan and Darien, Esh like many restaurants we have pointed out as our favorites in this town has magnificent private dining options.

Paci
The warmer months are the loveslist time to enjoy Paci on the patio. This classic Italian eatery sits in the heart of Southport on Station Street; the charming noise of trains pulling in is part of the heartbeat of the restaurant. The iconic brick-walled renovated 1800s freight depot with high ceilings is notably romantic and often listed for its charming and excellent service. The dishes reflect organic garden produce and other fresh ingredients according to market availability. Their private dining room is personally one of our favorites for special occasions and their notable wine list has earned them consistent Wine Spectator awards. Their recent addition of dinner on Tuesdays has given them much applause from the community.

The Corner Market & Sandwich Shop
Welcome to Fairfield The The Corner Market & Sandwich Shop! Full hours are now in effect! We haven’t met a chic market, sandwich shop and coffee bar we don’t love, but from time to time a truly beautiful one comes around that inspires us to shop, eat AND share.
Greenfield Hills is perfectly situated between Southport, Fairfield and Westport. The new Corner Market, in a cavernous beam-ceiling barn, is simply stunning. Executed to perfection with old-school branding and an edit of some of our favorite products like sauces from @sporthillfarm, EVOO from @wearebrightland, @getgraza and @pineapplecollaborative and chips from @sietefoods, they also serve pastries from @balthazarny and java from @stumptowncoffee.
From breakfast to burgers, bagels to flatbread the to-go counter in the back (with the perfect amount of seating) serves some serious brew and BEC’s in the am, and Avo toast, Asian salads and the like, at lunch. The meals-to-go is stocked for dinner with roast chicken, penne a la vodka, kid approved mac-n-cheese, meatballs and more.
The refrigerator system in the front of the market has a genius labeled system for everything from frozen treats to dairy, to prepared meals and fresh produce.
We came for breakfast and left with a wicker tote full of provisions and pantry items along with croissants, muffins and some morning coffee to kick start the day.
