The Magic of Abracadabra

We’ve just returned from Miami, and the first thing on our mind isn’t the beach, it’s a reunion. We reconnected with sunshine herself, Regine Basha of Aaron Basha, and we had to share, because her pieces are available right here at home at Monarch Market in Westport.
Aaron Basha has been telling stories through jewelry since 1906. It started with Regina Basha, a pioneering female jeweler working out of Baghdad, a woman ahead of her time in every sense. Her son, Aaron Basha, took that foundation and built it into the fine jewelry house we know today, the one behind those unmistakable baby shoes, evil eyes, ladybugs and whimsical charms that have become modern signatures.
Now Regine, the 3rd generation, is running the house. She’s honoring where it came from while asking a sharper question: what does Aaron Basha mean to a new generation of women?
That’s the thing about this brand. It was never just about the piece. It’s about the birth, the milestone, the love, the protection, the transformation, the moment you never want to forget. These are heirlooms built to be collected over a lifetime and handed down.
The newest expression of that philosophy is Abracadabra, and it might be my favorite thing Regine has built yet. It’s message we believe in wholeheartedly here at The Connecticut Edit and one we practice daily. The idea is simple and powerful: what we believe, we can create. It’s landed with young women, becoming less of a collection and more of a symbol. Confidence. Possibility. The nerve to build your own path.
It’s spreading through college communities, ambassadors, shared rituals. Abracadabra isn’t just jewelry anymore. It’s a movement about self belief and connection.
Sitting with Regine in Miami, I was reminded why this business has lasted four generations. The mission has never wavered: create symbols that connect generations, celebrate life, and remind people of the magic they already carry. I wear my Abracadabra daily.
