Honoring a Waterfront Milestone at Serena & Lily Westport

We’re thrilled to share that a sunny season of soirées begins this month at the iconic Serena & Lily Design Shop in Westport. What started as a simple storefront 10 years ago has become something much more: a true historic home in the heart of downtown.

The Serena & Lily team is marking this milestone, not with formality, but with a neighborhood season-long fête as fabulous as its Elm Street shop. Set inside the historic Kemper-Gunn House (built in 1889 and beautifully preserved and moved!), the space is where past and present design live side by side, which is very much part of the DNA of the town.

From the original stained glass windows to thoughtfully styled rooms that feel both polished and personal, the shop reflects what the brand does best: creating homes that are meant to be lived in.

“More than anything, this is a moment to thank the people who have welcomed us.”

says Design Shop leader Ruth Ann Davids. And that gratitude shows; this anniversary is as much about the relationships built over the years as it is about design itself.

Since opening its doors, Serena & Lily has drawn inspiration from Westport’s coastal charm, character-filled homes, and creative spirit, shaping spaces that feel timeless, personal, and effortlessly livable. We must confess that we have several pieces sourced from here, and when we discuss them with guests, we always mention that their truly special, house-like shop is a must-visit in town.

10 years in, it’s still not just a showroom, it’s a reflection of Fairfield County itself.

Pop in to Serena & Lily to stay filled in on their programming!

Also, we adore that they are designing the suites at the soon-to-be-revealed and newly renovated Inn at Longshore.

The summer is going to be quite chic indeed.
