Farewell Don Memo, Hello Massi Co: A Westport Iconic Space Reimagined

After an incredible 5 years, Don Memo will be serving its final meal on August 16th. The beloved and iconic space at 90 Post Rd East is transforming into Massi Co., named after owner Massimo Tullio.  Massimo has been longing to create an Italian restaurant that reflects his passion for the cuisine of Naples for some time. He and the team behind the Whelk and Don Memo are poised to bring Massi Co. to Westport in September.

Massi Co. marks a homecoming for the hospitality visionary and longtime Westport local. After 25+ years of shaping some of the region’s most beloved restaurants, he’s returning to his roots with a deeply personal Italian-American concept in the heart of downtown.

Set in the former Don Memo space, Massi Co. brings together Neapolitan brick oven pizzas, house-made pastas, and thoughtfully crafted cocktails, all wrapped in a warm, soulful atmosphere where vinyl spins and every detail is intentional.

“This is the kind of place I’ve always dreamed of having here,” says Tullio. “Family, friends, beautiful food, a great drink in hand—and music that makes you want to stay a little longer.”

Culinary mastermind Chef Zach Hinman is at the helm of the kitchen. Hospitality expert Ingrid Paronich joins as Head of Operations. And Westport’s Mark Shapiro, President of WME, joins as lead investor and partner.

Mark your calendars for August 16 to say your goodbyes to Don Memo, their last service.

The doors will open in early September for a whole new chapter with Massi Co.

Welcome to Massi Co., a love letter to Italian heritage and Westport hospitality.
