Two day fête for the opening of the Stephen Kempson London Women’s Made-to-Measure boutique in Westport

 It was a VERY stylish weekend at the two day fête for the opening of the Stephen Kempson London Women’s Made-to-Measure boutique in Westport. The shop is the most seamless extension of his beloved bespoke men’s tailoring shop next door. The launch was years in the making and a true labor of love for Stephen and his wife Julia who put together an exclusive VIP quintessential British tea, replete with scones and clotted cream and sausage rolls from Tuckers Pie Co. to kick off the festivities which no doubt extended to bubbles and Chocolatieree sweets. 

 

The genesis for the Kempson’s is a true appreciation for craftsmanship, a love of creating pieces custom for you, and ones that we can pass down through generations. They had long wanted to create something quite special for the Fairfield County community with a never-before-seen experience for women - and they have. 

 

The newly expanded shop was brimming with guests learning about Kempson’s tailored offerings for women and discovering a luxurious trunk show featuring exceptional female artisans curated by @hellotopbanana Founder Michele Cosantino. Guests enjoyed a sense of what’s to come from Kempson which is a true retail experience where shoppers discover one-of-a-kind pieces to fit their unique style, with different designers making appearances at trunk shows throughout the seasons. 

 

For the opening Amy Guzzi was there with her line The Lewellyn, Form Leather, Haute Energy, 

Sclarandis, Top Banana, Jennifer Hoertz, Elke Katz, BARN, and Cat Donohue presented their collections and pieces.
